Gildbroskolen – where community is our strength and well-being and professionalism go hand in hand.
The school is located in the heart of Ishøj – close to both Ishøj City Center, Ishøj Sports and Leisure Center and the beach. The location of the school makes the immediate area easy to use both in school and after-school time. At school there are approx. 490 students from 0.-9. class – Gildbroskolen contains, in addition to general classes, both special and dyslexic classes as well as three reception classes.
Gildbroskolen is a school for everyone characterized by a high priority of well-being and professionalism. The teaching is based on the individual student’s academic level and social skills with due respect for the community, the goal is that each student wins in their own life and gets the opportunity and framework to reach their full potential.
The school board has drawn up a number of principles that form the basis for the school’s activities. The principles state that the school’s employees, parents and students, have a joint responsibility for Gildbroskolen remaining a good school and developing positively for the benefit of the school’s students. The management, staff and school board work closely together and are responsible for jointly working out principles for the school’s operation
